Health & Wellness

The Center for Well-Being is a 48,000 sq ft. multi-purpose facility that supports the physical education curriculum of the Ross School. The Center was constructed in accordance with principles of sustainable design. Custom features include a wood-frame curtain wall, 100-ft. span laminated beams and a copper roof.

The extensive use of sustainably- harvested ipe wood, copper and natural stone demonstrates the benefits of employing long-lasting materials, which do not need to be treated. They visually blend in the woodland environment while naturally aging over time. The interior is dominated by sustainable bamboo wood, used in the large stained flooring area as well as in custom-made furniture throughout the building.
