This project is an investigation of the aesthetic components of a basic recreational structure. The intent is to design a shelter where the structural system is clearly expressed and emphasized. In addition to its function as a shelter, the structure is an attractive visual focus to the site. The design solution integrates structure and roof in a single composition. This combination elicits an elegant synthesis of these architectural elements informed by the structural principles involved.
